Marshals

We will need lots of marshals for this event.

Marshals are the backbone of Motorsport and without them giving up their free time we wouldn't have any motorsport to enjoy, so thank you in advance from the Organising team :-)

We are always on the lookout for good marshals and are able to help mentor new and existing marshals to upgrade their skills, abilities and experiences.

If required, signatures in PRC books can also be gained. We have Motorsport UK Licenced Trainers on staff.

For this event we require several good Radio Operators, In-Stage Marshals and timing crews.

UPDATE: Friday stages are now full for all marshal positions

But for Saturday+Sunday:

  • We still have a vacancy for a timing crew
  • We could do with a couple more MSA 81MHz radio crews

We will need marshals of all disciplines please including

  • In-Stage Radio operators
  • In-Stage Marshals
  • Timing Teams to operate ECM clocks and complete timecards at ATC, Start, Flying Finish and Stop lines.
  • Timing Teams use ECM clocks and complete timecards at Service In/Out.

We already have 2 Stage Commanders

  • Mike Watson (Register 1) A regular Hill Rally/Baja Stage Commander and also runs the start on the BCCC with his wife Mary.
  • John Curtis (Register 2) A regular Hill Rally/Baja Stage Commander who works closely with his wife Debbie on the start radio.

What's in it for the marshals?

You will get a ring-side seat to see some of the best off-road cars in the country ranging from Freelanders to 6.2L V8 monsters!

To recognise the sterling efforts put in by marshals, each evening there will be a draw for various goodies which include:

  • a cash prize (6 lots of £50 drawn from the marshal list), it could be you :-)
  • A trip to Iceland (you pay for the travel and you might see the Northern Lights),
  • A money can't buy, invite only trip to Jaguar Land Rover Classic works in Coventry (3 prizes all with a plus 1 so you can take a friend),
  • A Factory tour around ProDrive,
  • we are currently working with various suppliers for goodies that we can give away.

As well as the above tangible incentives, you will be enjoying the fabulous Isle of Man countryside whilst sniffing the exhaust fumes and watching some of the best off-road cars and drivers in the UK and Ireland, and possibly some from abroad.

It is a great opportunity to network with other Marshals, Officials and Competitors and will gain you more signatures in your Yellow PRC Booklet.

FREE Camping is available at the Service Park for persons involved in the event, power (16A Commando sockets) and non-potable water, and there will be catering and toilets on site.
